COVID-19 Update
Dear Parents,
We still do not yet have much information on how school is going to proceed at this point, but I wanted to update you on what we know so far. As stated in messages from our principal, the district, and the Alberta government, schools are indefinitely closed to students. We are now progressing towards an alternate form of learning.
The kindergarten teachers are preparing materials to go home for when parents are able to come pick up supplies, shoes, etc. at a later date. I, for one, will have materials for the earlier planned St. Patrick's Day activities (including all the resources for two art activities I already had planned), unfinished work from your kids, and I will also include some materials for future activities so that you will have something to keep the little ones busy for a little until alternative methods are set up.
Please do not come to the school yet. You will be contacted as to what date and time you can come in so as to stagger entries into the school.
When you do have your time to come in and pick up your child's items, we have been requested to let you know that only one parent is to come in to the building to pick up the items so that everyone can stay safe and healthy.
Thank you for your patience during this time. I am missing everyone so very much, but these measures are necessary to keep everyone healthy during this time.
I am continuing to build up a list of resources that you will be able to use with your child. I am also planning to start sharing resources and videos that you can use during the week as well. The kindergarten teachers are making the move to alternative/online learning together and we ask your patience while this is set up.
Ms. Law
